This was the first occasion I have used Steve at The Cycle Mechanic and he is very professional, efficient and engaging. The fee for the work was very reasonable for servicing my Dolan road bike. Excellent all round.

steve found the problem with my felt aero bike within a few hours of leaving it with him after my lbs had the bike for 6 weeks and could not find the problem.very professional contacted me with the results and explained the fault.very impressed with the knowledge and would not hesitate to recommend the cycle mechanic.

I have used Steve on a number of occasions and find him to be a great mechanic who you can talk to and discuss issues with your bike and he will give honest feedback, on this occasion he sorted my headset when i could hear a noise coming from it, discussed options and gave advice. Checked bike over and replaced parts that only needed to be replaced.

5AM on a dark, cold Saturday morning not 20 seconds into The Way Of The Roses cycle and my mates chain snaps.In a blind panic we make the chain worse with our attempts to fix it and with nowhere open for many hours we chanced our arm and ring around local bike shops and leave messages.Having already checked out of our airbnb and posted the keys back we had nowhere to go and all the time to get there.To our surprise the Cycle Mechanic rang us back and drove out to us even though he doesn't normally do call outs.The chain was on and gears checked in no time, we even got some info on the route which very helpful indeed!We can't thank the cycle mechanic enough for his help and professionalism !

I had a seized bearing and slightly off dish in my training wheels. All sorted in no time at all. Extremely reasonably priced, very friendly service, even showed me what would be involved in doing the job myself (turns out, it needs more than a rubber mallet...!). I will be back!
